Raw Food Diet / Fit for Life Diet Day and SPORT Day 26 (cont.) – Wednesday

Weight
My weight this morning: 74.5 kg = 164.24 pounds
Weight-loss since yesterday: -0,1 kg  (-0,22 pounds)
Weight-loss so far: -3 kg  (-6,6 pounds)

Starting weight  - Day 01: 77.5 kg (at 173 cm) = 170.85 pounds (at 5,67 feet)

Breakfast
Morning till noon: 2 smaller khakis (persimmon), 1 pear, 2 kiwis, a couple of litchis, 1 tangerine, a couple of slices ananas

Lunch
A salad with 125g kidney beans, carrots, zucchini and 1 spoon olive oil dressing with mustard, seasoning salt and pepper (at 1pm)

80gr mixed nuts (3pm) – I was so hungry!!

Dinner (before 7pm)
Raw vegetables and fruit (2 khaki, 1 orange, cellery)a

- 1,5 lt water each day -

Activity
Morning: 1 hour 10 min fast walk
Evening: 20 min fast walk

Total: 1 hour 30 minutes

Summary

This morning after I weight myself I really hated my body. I felt that all my efforts are worth nothing. I still went walking but I was extremely frustrated. I lost only -0,1kg since yesterday! I think I will need to walk hours and hours every day to really start losing weight. Maybe I shouldn’t weigh myself at all anymore.
Maybe I built up muscle which, as everybody knows, weighs more than fat. And actually my muscles are a bit sore and I do feel my thighs from walking more than double the amount I used to (from 40minutes per day to 90minutes per day). Maybe that’s just an excuse why I’m not losing more, who knows.
I’m so tired of not seeing good results. Only -3kg in 26 days! Most people would manage at least double the amount if they were doing what I do. Why is my body so stubborn? Oh well, I guess if losing weight was easy everybody could do it and it wouldn’t be a multi-billion business.

Anyway, I will continue and finish these 20 days. I hate to stop inbetween and want to finish what I’ve started. And compare results again. In 16 days.

Activity
Morning: 1 hour 10 min fast walk
Evening: 20 min fast walk

Total: 1 hour 30 minutes

Summary

I changed my eating and sport program. Here’s why: When I ate normal after the first 20 days for two days (and with “normal” I mean healthy food, but more than usual BUT still not as much as I used to eat before this diet), I almost gained 3kg back. In two days (!). Amazing, isn’t it? I realized that the only way to lose weight forever is to eat healthy and enough food without starving myself every day AND do sport. At least I hope this works. I increased my daily sport program from 40 minutes to 90 minutes per day. This will allow me to eat more of my favorite healthy meals without having to stick to only fruits and vegetables all day.

In the last 20 days I noticed that I ate less and less and lost less and less weight. And to continue to lose I ate less. My weight almost stopped and my body refuse to lose weight in a healthy way. And I regained so much back just suddenly. This can’t be the right way!
Don’t understand me wrong. I believe that a day with only raw fruits and vegetables is really good for the body but I can’t (and I don’t want to) do it every day because I’m lacking energy and my cravings for other foods get too high. Plus, on a normal healthy day I gain the weight extremely fast back which makes the days I suffered in vain. So, I will continue the diet (in the fit for life style) but eat more healthy calories and do much more sport than I used to. So, 17 more days to go. I wonder if I lose more weight than I did with the only raw method. Well, we’ll see. I guess the really interesting days will be 22 and 23. If I regain 3kg back, I will stop dieting forever.

Raw Food Diet Day 22 – Wednesday

Weight
My weight this morning: 73.3 kg = 161.59 pounds
Weight-loss since yesterday: -0,2 kg  (-0,44 pounds)
Weight-loss so far: -4,2 kg  (-9,25 pounds)

Starting weight  - Day 01: 77.5 kg (at 173 cm) = 170.85 pounds (at 5,67 feet)

Breakfast
3 smaller khakis (persimmon), 2 tangerines

Lunch
2 rolls with butter with green salad leaves, cucumber and tomatoes (at 2pm and 5pm)

Dinner (before 7pm)
raw vegetables

- 1,5 lt water each day -

Activity
2x 20 min fast walk in the morning and evening

Summary

Till the end of december (8 days) I plan to lose another 1,3kg. There will be two major holidays and I will have to (and want to) cheat. Two days of not sticking exactly to the plan won’t ruin my efforts, I guess they will even  calm my cravings and I surely hope to feel worse so I understand more and more why I’m sticking to this program.

Dinner (before 7pm)
2 kiwis, 1 orange, 1 tangerine

- 1,5 lt water each day -

Activity

2 x 20min fast walk (in the morning and in the evening)

Summary

My last day! I’m doing an only-fruit-day today. I haven’t done one during those 20 days yet. It really helps to clean the body and get rid of the toxins. The last 20 days I made about four super-raw food days where I only ate raw fruits and vegetables without oil the whole day. Doing those I lost about -0,3kg/-0,4kg. I remember doing an only-fruit-day when I was younger one day per week each other week. I felt great doing that but it is a bit tiring because I feel hungry and have huge cravings for other food in the afternoon/evening. Since I haven’t lost any weight over the last two days I hope to lose a bit for the last weigh-in tomorrow morning.

Losing weight is so hard. Especially when the body isn’t really fat and therefor doesn’t want to get rid of the extra pounds (like in my case). I know that if I had eaten the same food I ate this weekend about one or two months ago I would have lost at least one pound! I don’t understand why I’m losing weight so hardly. I guess I need to do more sport or longer walks to help my body burn the extra fat.

I will continue this healthy food diet. I have to reach my goal of 68kg (and then 64kg). I won’t weigh myself every day. I noticed that losing weight gives me huge motivation to continue but not losing any or even gaining makes me worried a lot about what I did wrong. Even though I kept to the plan.

So much for now. Again, last weigh-in of the 20 day journey tomorrow morning. I will be back with the result. See ya!

Raw Diet Day 19

December 21st, 2009 by admin

Raw Food Diet Day 19 – Sunday

Weight
My weight this morning: 73.7 kg = 162.48 pounds
Weight-loss since yesterday: +0,2 kg  (-0,44 pounds)
Weight-loss so far: -3,8 kg  (-8,37 pounds)

Starting weight  - Day 01: 77.5 kg (at 173 cm) = 170.85 pounds (at 5,67 feet)

Breakfast
3 khakis (persimmon), 1 kiwi, 1 orange, 1 tangerine, a couple of blueberries

Lunch
A mix of 1 frozen banana and 1 apple and a couple of blueberries.
At 3.30pm I ate a small green salad with a mustard/seasoning salt/lemon dressing.
Steamed vegetables with NO butter (fresh broccoli and califlower)

Dinner (before 7pm)
some vegetables (celery, cucumber, tomato)

- 1,5 lt water each day -

Activity

a day to relax

Summary

After I have gained a bit weight since yesterday (I assume it’s because of the frozen vegetable dinner with bad butter) I decided to go all raw today, except the fresh steamed vegetables. In the evening I felt really hungry but didn’t want to eat because I wanted to go to bed early. On the weekends I tend to eat much more, because I’m not busy enough. Even though I eat really low calorie foods I felt my stomach beeing a bit bigger than usual. I wonder what the scale will tell me tomorrow morning.

Raw Diet Day 18

December 21st, 2009 by admin

Raw Food Diet Day 18 – Saturday

Weight
My weight this morning: 73.5 kg = 162.03 pounds
Weight-loss since yesterday: -0,2 kg  (-0,44 pounds)
Weight-loss so far: -4 kg  (-8,81 pounds)

Starting weight  - Day 01: 77.5 kg (at 173 cm) = 170.85 pounds (at 5,67 feet)

Breakfast
2 khakis (persimmon), 1 kiwi, 1 orange, 1 tangerine, a couple of blueberries

Lunch

A mix of 1 frozen banana and 1 pear.

At 3.30pm I ate a big green salad with olive oil/mustard/seasoning salt/lemon dressing.

Steamed vegetables with butter (a frozen package with lots of bad ingredients in the butter which I noticed the next day)

Dinner (before 7pm)

some vegetables (celery, cucumber, carrot)

- 1,5 lt water each day -

Activity

1x 30 min fast walk in the morning and evening

Summary

Saturday was fine. I stayed pretty much at home and was eager to eat something warm. I bought a frozen package of vegetables with butter at the supermarket. I prepared it in the oven and added some fresh brokkoli.  The next day, when I read the ingredients I was amazed how much bad stuff was inside this package. Lots of salt, sugar (!), milk and other weird things. I will not buy this product again. Teaches you to be careful with all quick meals that you buy.

Raw Diet Day 17

A slice of Strawberry Cheesecake from the Carn...

Raw Food Diet Day 17 – Friday

Weight
My weight this morning: 73.7 kg = 162.48 pounds
Weight-loss since yesterday: -0,4 kg  (-0,88 pounds)
Weight-loss so far: -3,8 kg  (-8,37 pounds)

Starting weight  - Day 01: 77.5 kg (at 173 cm) = 170.85 pounds (at 5,67 feet)

Breakfast
3 khakis (persimmon), 2 kiwis, a couple of litchi and 2 tangerines

Lunch

At 2.30pm I ate a green salad with tomatoes, cucumber and black olives sprinkled with a simple olive oils/lemon/dijon-mustard dressing with a bit seasoning salt and pepper.

At 4.30pm I ate 80gr raw mixed unsalted nuts

Dinner (before 7pm)

some vegetables (celery, kohlrabi)

- 1,5 lt water each day -

Activity

2x 20 min fast walk in the morning and evening

Summary

I’m feeling great. I had some cravings in the evening (I love cheesecake) but they were gone this morning. I realised that I’m losing more weight if I keep the carbs (also in bananas) to a minimum. I can’t wait to reach the goal of 72kg so I can go easier on myself. I’m just an unpatient person and would like to reach the first goal quickly. To have my normal medical weight back will give me relaxation and once I reach 68kg my desired 64kg aren’t far away, either. I have to lose 10kg to reach them and I can’t wait to see my new body shaping out of my old one.

I do not only love cheesecake I have cravings for chicken, as well. And I could incorporate a chicken dish into my diet but I feel I have to reach my first weight-goal first. I understand that no diet is good if the person is looking for certain foods after the diet is finished. In this case, a grilled or baked piece of chicken with vegetables or salad fits perfectly well into my diet, but I can lose more weight faster, if I don’t eat those things. And I will make them part of my diet, I don’t want to lose weight forever!
