About me

Hi, my name is Ivanka, glad you stopped by. I’m a 34-year old female trying to get more energy, eat good, be healthy and lose a couple of pounds. I’m only slightly over my normal weight and I’m pretty sure, to lose weight if you’re not really fat is same as hard as if you were. The body is just used to be a bit chubby. And it does NOT want to get rid of its fat that it has stored so well since many many years.
Well, that’s what I think at least.

We will see how this method works out for me. Follow me on my journey. And please comment, I’m glad about every bodies input. And YES, I know, we all are diet experts. I know everybody has their own tips and tricks on how to lose weight. I will be glad to hear yours, especially if it has to do with eating raw food. I would love to get some recipes, as well. Thank you again for visiting. Enjoy and come back soon!

If you don’t know what a raw diet consists of, it is pretty simple.

From Wikipedia:

Raw foodism (or rawism) is a lifestyle promoting the consumption of un-cooked, un-processed, and often organic foods as a large percentage of the diet. Raw foodists typically believe that the greater the percentage of raw food in the diet, the greater the health benefits. Raw foodism or a raw diet is usually equated with raw veganism in which only raw plant foods are eaten,

[1] but other raw foodists emphasize raw meat and other raw animal products.

[2] Depending on the type of lifestyle and results desired, raw food diets may include a selection of raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds (including sprouted whole grains such as gaba rice), eggs, fish (such as sashimi), meat (such as carpaccio), and non-pasteurized/non-homogenized dairy products (such as raw milk, raw milk cheese, and raw milk yogurt).

Raw foodists can be divided between those that advocate raw vegetarianism or raw veganism, those that advocate a raw omnivorous diet, and those that advocate a diet of only raw animal foods (carnivorous).

About the method

I have read many books on dieting and on how to lose weight. I have tried many of those methods, as well. If I had been successful so far I wouldn’t have continued to search for a smart eating plan.
I think it was pure luck that I’ve stumbled upon this method. I was reading a book called “Fit for Life” where eating fruit on an empty stomach is one of the most important rules in the book. Actually, the author recommends to eat only fresh raw fruit until noon every day. He explains logically why and it really makes sense! He also explains why it’s bad to eat fruit on a full stomach or why cooked or canned fruit is bad for the human body. If it hadn’t been explained that well, I’m pretty sure, I wouldn’t have tried it.  I feel great and will keep it up, that’s for sure. The author also explains other food combining methods for the rest of the day but basically eating fruit on an empty stomach until noon is really important and beneficial. I understand from some people that they have only changed that and kept the rest of their diet the same and benefited greatly.

I will try this program for 20 days. Then I will be able to be a better judge for this method that I have not tried before. After those 20 days are over, I will decide on how to continue.

If you decide to try and go raw, DO NOT use my blog as a resource. I literally have (yet) no idea what I’m doing. There are a few websites ad books that offer some education about the subject so make sure and check them out first:

My personal goals on this raw-food-diet- journey.

Over all, I want to have more energy, feel good, have a better skin, well, be prettier in total, be healthy(ier) and lose a couple of pounds. And I’m not a patient person. I would love to see results soon.

My personal motives.

Mainly, for now, I would like to get my nice body back I had about two and a half years ago. My story in a nutshell: I have lost a lot of weight about three years ago. I lost it because I was almost eating nothing due to the stress in my private life and not because I was following a smart eating plan. Then I gained a bit back because I was eating nasty bad foods all day. I was also drinking too much alcohol these days. The only thing that decreased was my self-confidence and the joy to live.

I started to become more and more aware of how important it is also for the psyche to eat healthy food and do sport and exercises. So I’m really interested in the whole topic (eat healthy, stomach friendly (!), and feel good).

Basically, I have two or three weight-loss-goals, depending on how well things develop.

GOAL 1:
Lose -6kg to become a healthy 72 kg. That is approximately my normal and medical healthy weight.
I want to achive this goal in in 20 DAYS.

GOAL 2:
Lose -4kg to a healthy/ideal 68 kg. That is kind of my ideal weight I used to be 2,5 years ago.

GOAL 3:
Lose -4kg to a healthy/ideal 64 kg. That is my ideal weight I want to achieve.

I know, there are many people who feel that is not a lot but as I said before, I know that it is really hard to lose weight from your normal weight to your ideal weight. To slim down from beeing over-weight is (at least for me) really easy. So the hard part will start after I finish Goal 1, after, as I said, I hope, 20 days.
