Day 09 – Thursday

Weight
My weight this morning: 75.3 kg = 166.00 pounds
Loss so far: -2,2 kg  (-4,85 pounds)

Starting weight  - Day 01: 77.5 kg (at 173 cm) = 170.85 pounds (at 5,67 feet)

Breakfast
This morning I was hungry. I ate until noon all these fruits:
1 banana, 2 kakis (persimmon), 2 kiwi fruits, 1 apple

Lunch

At 12:00 I ate 80gr mixed unsalted raw nuts (I made myself practical 80gr packs)

At 2.30pm I ate a salad with tomatoes, cucumber, bell peppers (yellow, red, green) and a simple olive oils/lemon/pepper dressing with my new seasoning salt.

At 3.30pm I ate 1 avocado (I was so hungry!)

Day 1:
Weight: 170
Unfortunately for me, I started the diet in the middle of a cold. Or maybe that’s fortunate. I’ve had a headache all day but it’s hard to pinpoint if it’s the lack of the caffeine that’s usually present or the sickness. Either way, hello Advil.
BREAKFAST:
In the morning I juiced an orange, apple, carrot and celery. All one each. It was surprisingly tasty. Before I left for work I ate an orange.
LUNCH:
At work I had:
- 1 carrot
- 2 celery stalks
- handful of almonds
- handful of sunflower seeds
- persian cucumber
- handful of grape tomatoes.
I was basically grazing the whole time at work. Everything was pretty bland but hey, that’s what I signed up for.  But by the time I left I was already starving for dinner.
DINNER:
I was less than a day in at this point and ready to eat my neighbors cat for it’s meat. Luckily I remembered Nicki made a kick asssalad dressingjust for me and it was sitting in the fridge. No cat tonight. Here’s what I prepare:
- Salad consisting of lettuce, spinach, carrots, tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, sunflower seeds, quinoa, in a apple cider vinegar/garlic/sun dried tomato dressing. It was good.
- I also made a quick side dish of half a cucumber and bell pepper that was left over from the salad. I put some lemon andsea saltand called it an “apet-teaser.”
- For dessert I had a handful of trailmix and watermelon.
Day one in the bag. No big deal. So you eat fruit andvegetablesall day. Anyone can do that. Well, easier said than done.

Dinner (before 7pm)
Again, a big green salad, this time without the mustard, just plain lemon, olive oil, and seasoning salt dressing.

Activity

2x 20 min fast walk in the morning and evening

Summary

I am EXTREMELY happy that I’ve lost some weight again. Thanks to this diary I can keep exact track of all the ups and downs. I’m thinking about repeating day 08 tomorrow so I can check the result and compare. I would love to see the same result, even though, I know, I know, there are too many factors to repeat one day and have the same result. But it will be worth a try and interesting to see what happens.

Today I feel a bit tired again. And more hungry than usual. I’m hoping to manage my first goal of 73kg soon. Hopefully at the end of these 20 days. The last time I reached 73 kg (it was 72,9kg yeah :) every gram counts!) is about 1 year ago. Since then I have been around 76kg. More or less. I just couldn’t find a good and healthy diet that worked for me. AND was good for me. I believe that this time I have found a healthy way of living. Once I have lost the extra pounds, I will be able to eat more and feel less tired I hope. Anyway, 73kg is my medical approved normal weight. Once I have reached it, I can start playing more with the foods and be more experimental. Right now, I just want to be on the safe side and reach my normal weight as soon as possible. Of course, I have an ideal weight that is way below 73kg. It is 64 kg!
